Call for Nominations for Thyroid/Parathyroid Exam Council

The American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS) are organizing a Focused Practice Designation (FPD) for Adult Complex Thyroid/Parathyroid Surgery.

To assist with the development of this FPD, we are inviting our diplomates to be considered for participation in a newly-formed Examination Committee dedicated to meeting the expectations below:

• Participating in the process of defining the scope of knowledge
• Assisting with the development of the Exam blueprint
• Creating Exam content
• Serving as a sounding board for the Steering Committee

We anticipate this role will require a 3-year commitment. If you are interested in becoming a member of this Examination Committee and would like to be considered for this role, please complete the brief (10 minutes or less) survey here by 8 am CT on Monday, July 10. Have an abbreviated CV available to upload when taking the survey.

If you are selected for a position on the Examination Committee, you will be required to attend our first meeting, in-person, on October 12 and 13 in Philadelphia, PA. The ABOHNS and ABS will reimburse travel expenses for their respective diplomates to attend this meeting.
